Abstracts for inclusion of the 2027 APPA meeting will be accepted beginning August 3rd through November 1, 2026 at 11:59PM PST. Abstracts must be written in English and submitted through the online submission system. Selected abstracts will be invited to present in an oral or poster presentation. Abstract notices will be sent to the submitting author in December 2026.

New for 2027: APPA is expanding opportunities for abstract-driven programming. For the first time, one-third of the meeting presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts, creating more opportunities for authors to be chosen for oral presentations and to showcase their research to the APPA community.

Authors will select a primary abstract submission category.

• Biological (including psychiatric genetics, neuroscience)
• Clinical (including treatment studies, studies in patient samples)
• Epidemiology (including population-based studies)
• Social and behavioral sciences (including social determinants)
• Other (if you do not feel your abstract fits into the above listed categories)
